Enjoy life, do stuff, meet people!
I lived in New York City all my life until I spent a year in the Wilderness in Wisconsin. I have been traveling around since then
I love nature. I'm passionate about about natural sustainable living. Usually in the direction of primitive living. I can make fire with only wooden sticks, and I love to cook on an open fire.
I'm perceptive, patient. I am smart and learn quickly. I love music and art, particularly in art that tells a story, like graphic novels. I love just to talk to people, I love to joke, and to have adventures.
Expand my consciousness and experience into places I have never imagined, and by living openly, have a positive influence on other people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am aimlessly wandering North America searching for anything than engages my interest. I like to peer into peoples lives. I love to participate in whatever ways I can!
While on a cross country drive with strangers I met on the internet, I've surfed at many homes.
I also stayed as a guest in an ecovillage (Earthaven) for two weeks and it was amazing. I got to learn so much by helping out around the house and garden, and I met amazing people.
I pitched my tent in many different spots during my wilderness time and I'm sure my plant and critter neighbors would recommend me.
My biggest interest is people. I'm facinated to see how people live their everyday lives.
I'm really into primitive skills and wilderness.
Otherwise, food, travel, art, music, culture, video games, nature, graphic novels/comics, biking, homesteading, nomadism, and artisan and traditional skills interest me.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Most Haruki Murakami and Kurt Vonnegut books. Also Yotsuba&!, The One Straw Revolution, Siddhartha, Life of Pi, etc
Music: Radiohead, Burial, Long Arm, Little Dragon, Sonic Youth, Matthew Herbert, Unkle, Gorillaz, Baby Mammoth, Psapp, Broken Social Scene, Regina Spektor, Soul Coughing, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, etc
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived for almost a year in the wildernessin northern Wisconsin, with no electricity, no pots and pans, no processed foods... basically nothing the wilderness doesn't give. And to sum up the amazing things I did there, you're just going to have to hang out with me, haha.
Before that, drove from East to West coast of the USA, spending time with different strangers every day for a month. The Badlands and Canyonlands were amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm totally down for teaching anyone anything I know about anything I know including primitive skills, wilderness, drawing, painting, computer and photoshop, cooking and baking, drumming, singing, and anything else I know.
I would love to play music together!
I like to practice speaking in other languages, and will gladly engage in conversation or tutoring.
