About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a greenie, and write books on philosophy and climate change. Have travelled a fair bit, mostly to Europe, and just beginning to caste my net wider. Unbelievably, haven't spent much time in the Pacific yet, or South America, which is where I'd like to go soon. Love people, but work hard so may be a bit distracted. Our house is out of town, by the sea. Not easy to get to, but I'm happy to run into New Lynn and pick people up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like personable places and people rather than generic and crowded hotels.
Interests
Love tramping in the hills, swimming in the sea, or a lake, and generally doing stuff outdoors. Love animals, both domestic and wild. Also love art, music, theatre, a relaxing bar, good friends and fun & intelligent conversation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ephesus in Turkey was a complete surprise. We stopped there on our way to our friends wedding in the interior of Turkey. The whole trip was incredible. But Ephesus took my breath away. Its the most astonishingly intact ancient city, and I really had a feel for the culture there. Would have loved to nosy into the little mud houses in the untouched suburbs near the impressive streets and Ionic colleseums and so on.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great conversation, adventure, walking, sailing, kayaking, art, a sing-along if you have the words.
Countries I’ve Lived In
England, Fiji, Germany, New Zealand, Scotland, Spain
