About Me

A quiet person.

I'm often shy about asking for things I might need, or help in general. I don't usually initiate conversations. I do love listening to what others have to say.

I have been what people often describe as an introvert. I am also honest, reasonable, and very understanding about people and life's circumstances in general.

I've done some managerial work before, and served people at a pizzeria.

I recently moved to Canada, and will probably do some studying again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Truth be told, it's because I can't pay for hotels.

But I've been fascinated with the idea of couchsurfing since I've read other people's stories.

I think it's a great way for me to grow as a person, trying out the things that I wouldn't have done so in the past.

I guess I have to start at some point. I can't really host right now because I live with my mom (again, recently moved). I hope that in the future, I could repay the kindness and generosity of this system to other people who might need my help.

Interests

I like reading books. I also read stuff online (hi, reddit).

I play Hearthstone. I watch (used to play, but my account's on another server) competitive League of Legends games for entertainment.

I love learning things (cooking is definitely one of the most enjoyable).

I love watching Doctor Who, and Monty Python.

Oh and, I'm a Los Angeles Lakers fan.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC:

I grew up in the 90s and was exposed early with rock, punk, grunge, and metal songs. While I may not be as dedicated to the scene as others are, I will always have a special place in my heart for these types of music. As I grew up, I learned to love alternative, classical, and other sorts of music.

My favorite musicians are the Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Metallica, Eraserheads, Queen, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Maroon 5, Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra, Lisa Hannigan, Camera Obscura... okay, so I'm not really listing them all. Just trying to remember them is difficult as it is. Sorry.

MOVIES:

Again, too many to list. I've seen movies from the 1920s, until recent time. I've always found something to like for every decade. But to add some sort of perspective, at the recent Oscars (87th, 2015), I absolutely enjoyed Birdman. The Grand Budapest Hotel is also another favorite. As far as genres go, I like sci-fi, fantasy, and historical pieces. I'm always open to try out other films.

BOOKS:

I love books by Neil Gaiman. I've recently read The Art of Asking by his wife, Amanda Palmer. I've read books by Tolkien, G. R. R. M., Hemingway, Douglas Adams, Frank McCourt, Harper Lee, Robert Greene and a lot more! As with the movies, I tend to read sci-fi, fantasy, and historical accounts (with the occasional biographies from time to time).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been a professional gamer.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I've said before, conversation-wise, it can be difficult for me at first but I always answer people's queries about me... about anything actually.

I can also cook for you, or learn stuff from you.

Maybe we could also discuss some tinkering with your computer stuff as well.

Countries I’ve Lived In
