Hi! I am a medical student in Chicago and just about finished with my four years. If you couldn't tell already from my photos I am an avid rock climber having climbed in many places across the US and Europe. But traveling for me is much more than exploring new places outdoors, but exploring new cultures, meeting new peoples, learning languages, and stepping outside my comfort zone for life experiences. Having lived in South America for two years definitely helped me develop this love for other cultures and I'm very excited to keep expanding my perspective of the world and all the beauty it holds. Also just a side note I don't drink.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In many of my travels I have been the recipient of incredible hospitality from both strangers and friends. I love that there is a way that we adventurers have a way to see the world and not break the bank at the same time. Because lets be real; all you really need is a warm, safe place to sleep each night and where better than the couch of a friend.

Interests

I would consider myself a pretty well rounded person. I definitely love doing things that keep me active and healthy like climbing and hiking, but if I go anywhere worth seeing I'll be sure to have my camera on me. Photography has turned into somewhat of a passion. On top of these interests I've also acquired a list of unintentional hippy skills like hacky sac, slacklining, and guitar playing. However I'm the most sober hippy you'll every find haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

Over the past couple years I've become a very big fan of EDM and House music. But I'll always be a fan of some of the classics like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Six week long rock climbing trip across Europe and camped the entire time including sleeping in a cave in Iceland.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd consider myself a pretty positive person that gets along with almost everyone. Also on top of my many stories of travel and adventure I've gotten pretty competent at my skills in osteopathic manipulative therapy. Oh what is that you ask? It's like a fusion of chiropractic, massage therapy and medicine that I've had the privilege of learning during my four years of medical school. Just ask and I'd be happy to give a free treatment.
