To seen the world, give it a smile, and see how it translates into writing.
I'm a laid back fellow who knows too much about insignificant errata. I've been here and there, done this and that, rhymed a rhythm right down the Rhine while whining whimsical the woes of a worrisome world that won't by any means while away in better ways, but wouldn'ta matter much most of the time with a mug of Moscoto in hand (or is it a glass?) and music in the mind. Let's just leave it at that; I really love words.
I believe my personal ontology equates to an immaterial simple, though I'm not of the Brobdingian variety. Er... maybe we're using "philosophy" in multiple senses...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well I haven't had much time to host or anything. I just recently discovered couchsurfing, which will come in handy during this 7 week sojourn through Central Europe with Leah Blackburn. Even if I can't find a place to stay, I'd love to just meet up for coffee with locals and other travellers to discuss life, the world, and the good.
I stayed with James Gardiner in Derry, Ireland, but that's it so far.
Food, literature, off-beat adventures, writing, cool stuff, philosophy, chess, most other games, words, and other pretentious bullshite! Just about everything really as long as it's interesting! I guess I don't really enjoy monster truck rallies or that sort of thing.
Music, Movies, and Books
All the classics, Shakespeare and that jazz, Jazz!, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Marx, Singer, Van Inwagon, English, Russian, French, Irish, Spanish, Greek, Philosophy, Classical music of all sorts, Alternative, Folk, Bluegrass, Rock, Yodeling, Sooo many movies (take your pick), etc. Ok, let's just say this: Name a book or whatever and then we'll have a lovely conversation about the merits or drawbacks of it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw a TRIPLE RAINBOW once! I almost feel like these questions are a bit vague actually. Who doesn't have a plethora of amazing experiences behind them? That's just what we are, a collection of stories. I probably shouldn't spoil it all before we even meet.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know cooking, wine, English, puzzles, American politics, tons of silly random facts, bugs, slugs, and scaly things (thought I'd be a biologist as a kid). I'd love to expand my knowledge on anything really. I love to listen.
