I am a wife and mother of our single daughter who goes by "Boog". She is 7 soon. My husband Jon and I have spent time in Kenya as teacher & construction in the Kibera slum. We have been on safari, he climbed Kilimanjaro. We have traveled much of the Caribbean, visited London a couple times, and I visited Zanzibar. We are open to culture, obsessed with history & natural wonders. We want to learn through hard work and by trying new things. We have a great respect for differences, a desire for human connection, and welcome change. We are interested in traveling the world in the next 2 years with a goal of trying local cuisine, trading work or skills, learning from our hosts (trying their jobs), seeing the natural wonders this world has to offer, all while documenting it and making calls back to our favorite young niece and nephew and our dog who will miss us terribly.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I'm more of a song person- if it gets me, I'll devote my time to it! I love the song "the ends of the earth" by Lord Huron, and "stay alive" by Jose Gonzales. I love anything instrumental & enjoy a bit of everything. I love to dance! I like non-fiction- stories that include a triumph or a world view. I LOVE MOVIES. My family sets time aside for a cinematic experience. I'm a sic-fi person, but enjoy just about every genre- especially if it has a flare for imagination.

I can create with them. I can cook for them or with them. I can tell jokes & laugh! I can clean, help with children, share our family stories, take their picture. My husband is a project foreman in commercial construction- he can plumb anything (even foreign as he has done before) he can build anything and he can teach sports. He loves a good dine-in with new people, just as much as my daughter and I do.
