About Me

I can believe anything provided that it's incredible (Oscar Wilde)

I am a happy person, fun-loving and very communicative (SIC!), I enjoy my family life and I am looking forward to travel more again when my kids have grown up.

The world is sad and beautiful!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I offer my home to members of the couch surfing community, as I think couch surfing is a wonderful way of meeting people and other cultures directly at home. I wish I would have had the opportunity to couch surf when I was young!!

There's only one couch surfing experience so far, and it was VERY POSITIVE! A lady from Sweden stayed with us for one night, and we got along so well, it was amazing. The children loved her too, and even my partner enjoyed the evening who normally is quite suspicious about these arrangements.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many books and movies and types of music I like; it is hard for me to choose one or two from them. OK, I will try:
Music: most Putumayo World Music, Kampen Grooves, Lounge Music
Books: Frank Schätzing-Der Schwarm; Jonathan Franzen-The Corrections; Julia Franck-Die Mittagsfrau
Movies: Mamma mia!; Jim Jarmusch movies; What's eaten Gilbert Grape? (Johnny Depp is my favourite actor!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending a year abroad as an exchange student was a wonderful experience. I travelled the USA - Spain - Great Britain - Thailand and studied in London and Madrid - awesome! Wouldn't want to miss that in my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

Tarot cards, the Celtic runes and trees, Biodanza, rituals, prayers, believing in a higher power ..... these are just a few things I am interested in and I can share with other people if they want to know more about them. One thing's for sure: I don't want to be a missionary!
