Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never used CouchSurfer, but have been surfing on couches steadily for the past 4 years and have developed a sense of how to be a good houseguest. I look forward to the day I have a couch to offer up.

Interests

Hiking (long trails are a new passion of mine, but even little day hikes are great!), Skiing, Surfing, Natural History, Reading, Listening to music, Teaching... Learning...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am happy to have witnessed many amazing things- such as a student suffering from altitude sickness hiking herself to safety, or a bear teaching her cubs to fish in a creek in Montana, or a 70 year old woman hiking the PCT-- my mind has been blown many times, and I hope to continue to put myself in wild places to be present for more of those milestones.
On my quest for amazing things I have managed to pull off a couple stunts myself. The most recent thing I have surprised myself with was hiking the Pacific Crest Trail last summer.
