ABOUT ME

TERRY ~ Born in Portsmouth UK, raised in a small town outside of London. I spent my teenage years being into the scooter scene riding Vespas and Lambrettas (check out the scooter club www.hardlyrideable.co.uk). I think progressing into customizing Cal-look VW keeping with my soul & reggae roots but moving more into rave & dance music. In 1990 I had the chance to emigrate to Canada but in the end spent the next 5 years couchsurfing between Canada, UK, USA, Portugal & Europe... a great time in my life. So in the end needed to make a home so I unpacked my bags and made a home in Toronto and get back into trucking which I've been doing on and off all over North America seeing a lot out of the windscreen having a lot of time to think of a dream of mine to have a sailboat. So I bought a sailboat and decided to give trucking a rest and got a job at Toronto Island Marina where I am now.

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

What are our options for participation aside from establishing Toronto Island as a Couchsurfing location for International Couchsurfers. Toronto Island is very distinct yet very connected to downtown Toronto. Anyone coming into Toronto who prefers a nature experience should book in with us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

TERRY ~ Met a lot of good people along the way... surfing on balconies, hammocks, sidewalks, floors, trucks, cars, boats, beaches, clubs...
KARRY ~ I classified myself a professional couch surfer prior to hearing about www.couchsurfing.com.

KARRY ~ Attending births of babies in home and hospital environments observing/participating/supporting/advocating with the intention of upholding the naturalness and fascinating joy of the experience that is a key life experience in a woman's life and is relative to the human being that is raised from birth whose existence impacts the life experience of family, friends met and citizens of the world.
