About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel to every continent in the next six years. Even Antartica. Yes, I have a vague sort of plan...

ABOUT ME

Well, I have 'presence', or so I'm told. Not entirely sure what people mean by it, but I assume it's a nice thing (that or I hang around with some pretty horrible people).

I'm taking a break from education at the moment and am going to study Japanese and Politics in London this coming September.

I have been the subject of two 'hatcheting' death threats, yet still remain blessedly unhatched-ed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, just joined, so naught as of yet. Have told numerous people of my plans, so maybe that's something...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as of yet, but hope to have some good initial experiences.

Interests

Video games, amateur dramatics, Japan, changing my life plans dramatically (Will I work in the Foreign Office? Or in an Arctic Research center? Who knows! Maybe a tanker in the Baltic sea!) Cooking one extremely elaborate and time-consuming (but ultimately delicious!) meal a month.

Music, Movies, and Books

A rather eclectic taste. Don't like much 'hip' new sort of music generally. Prefer Billy Joel, Queen, Tom Waits. Um, the Gorillaz, Stray Cats... Lotsa stuff.

Like sci-fi books, Dune, Starship Troopers. Also the Song of Ice and Fire series by G RR Martin. Some old classics too, Animal Farm, I Robot, Foundation.

Love extremely bad horror movies. Or even just old horror movies. Enjoyed Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, stranges tastes here too. I pick and choose.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best bar in Dublin is off a side street in Trinity College. I can't remember the name but I could totally take you there... Or find out the name and location at some point (yeah, I'll do the latter).

Countries I’ve Visited

Spain, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Ireland, United Kingdom
