Overview
About Me
I'm a recently anointed truck driver for a major company. Trucking is allowing me the opportunity to see more of this great country on a routine basis, which I'm using as a means to audition places I'd like to live before I throw myself fully into relocating to brazil in 7 years.
I'd consider myself fairly diverse in terms of tastes in music & movies. I like live music, fitness, reading, and new experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I'm on the road so much (I drive for 2 weeks and take 2 days off), the opportunity to couch surf on my days off will allow me to get a better feeling for some the places I visit. Plus, the insight I can gain from hosts who are residing in these places allows me to gain the perspective of a native rather than operate from just a tourist's mentality.
Interests
Sports are beginning to suck, but I still watch football. Weight lifting (I'm a certified personal trainer), most fitness activities. I'd like to get into archery, and learn welding, and woodworking. I make awesome healthy smoothies, and I can cook a lil bit. I'd like to see concerts, breakdancing battles, blues, funk, or jazz bands. Lyrical hip-hop is my love but I can do a lil ratchet from time to time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone, James Brown, & Michael Jackson each have their own individual playlists in my iPod. I get down with some rock and heavy metal as well. Plus, I love Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams. As far as blues concerned, there are too many to name. But, John Lee Hooker, Sunhouse, Albert King and Magic Samkind of cover the gamut.
My favorite book is the alchemist by Paulo Coehlo.
Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, Spielberg, aronofsky, & the dude who did boogie nights, Magnolia, & there will be blood are some of my favorite movie directors
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Periodically I'll feed a homeless person. I don't consider it amazing, but it makes me feel good.
Teach, Learn, Share
Traveling is A huge learning experience. Seeing some of the Indian reservations across this country have been very eye-opening for me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My honesty, humility and confidence.
