ABOUT ME

Open and honest.

I am actually very shy and somewhat introverted,but most people think I am an extrovert.

I love the sound of the rain, especially when it falls into a creek or stream.

I love the smell of pine.

I love mountain air.

I love walking barefoot on green grass

If a song truly moves me, I cry.

I come from an interfaith household- which means I don't really fit in any one box. I think this makes me a more open and tolerant person.

I love to laugh- I snort when something is really funny.

I have grown up in several places (Iowa, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida) so I adapt very quickly to new places.

I love people with passionate ideas (although this might exclude some charismatic figures)

I wish I could sing like no one was listening.

Music, Movies, and Books

I will read almost anything: "Black like Me" has (by far) had the most impact on my life.

Movies: Again, I will watch almost anything (except horror) La Vita Bella and History X have both shaped my life. Gone Baby Gone was good (Dennis Lehane is masterful)

Music- I love music. I will listen to anything (this includes classical and Opera music). I love soul, jazz, and R&B

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a survivor- what is amazing to me is that I still remain positive. Survivors in general always amaze me.
