ABOUT ME

We're a young couple from Copenhagen, Denmark looking to exploring the world. We are students in the art of filmmaking. While attending The European Film College we made a stop motion animation short (http//www.vimeo.com/7927749) that is now traveling the world to various festivals. Therefore we're looking for couchsurfing hosts that are willing to accomodate us while we join our film in its many adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Altough we're first-timers in regards to couchsurfing, we're very excited to try it out. We hope to meet new people that we wouldn't find anywhere else in the world and experience the local culture from a different point of view.

Interests

We interested in people and their stories and the way they perceive life.
We're both storytellers in many forms, whether it's scrips, short stories or silly rhymes.
In our free time, Johannes likes to create boardgames while Sally builds puppets and sets for her own stop motion projects.
Other than that we like to watch films, talk about films and make films - and of course read, read, read.

Music, Movies, and Books

Talking about movies, we love them.
Johannes: Lars von Trier's "Europa", the animation film "Carto Maltese", "Le Genou de Claire" by Eric Rohmer, Ridley Scott's "Bladerunner" and many more. He especially likes the films by the Coen Brothers, David Lynch and Jim Jarmusch. A recent film that has made a great impression is "The Toxic Avenger".
Sally: Anything by Tim Burton. "Edward Scissorhands" is an alltime favourtie. "The Hudsucker Proxy" by the Coen Brothers, "The Royal Tenenbaums" by Wes Anderson and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's "Amelie". She loves japanese animation, espeically anything by Hayao Miyasaki. A recent film that has already been watched many times over is Henry Selick's "Coraline".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sally: "Last summer I went on the trip of my lifetime to Japan. Being a great admirer of the japanese culture, from tea ceremonies and temples to anime and cosplay (and anything "otaku"), I wore a permanent smile throughout the entire trip. I will deffinitely return there some day."

Teach, Learn, Share

As Copenhageners we can give you a great insight on what to do and see in Denmark's capital. Also, you can ask us just about anything in regards to film - and we might just know something about it. We have done live action film making and animation hands on and know a lot of the secrets of the art form.
