Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a lot for work. It involves long hours of commuting, meetings, and conferences. At the end of the day I'm exhausted and typically retire to a hotel room. Because of this the travel was becoming a negative aspect of my job. It's what kept me away from my home, my dog, and my routine. On top of that, when returning back to the office colleagues would often ask how I enjoyed New York or Boston or San Diego and I could only answer with 'they have a great airport' or 'the hotel was nice'. I decided to change my perspective and realized that work travel can be a wonderfully positive experience. I now see it as a way to meet new people and experience new places. Couch surfing is a great way to achieve this. My goal is to not waste any minute and take advantage of my surroundings. I'm really looking forward this opportunity and fresh perspective.
