About Me

Unfortunately, I'm not accepting guests as I am busy working on my dissertation and packing up my place - I am planning to move to Vancouver in September 2019!

I make art and study the mind. I also plan to visit every country before I die.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe it promotes a genuine experience of a place and culture - and a great way to make new friends!

Also great insider information!

Interests

First and foremost, I love cultural and adventure travel.
I am a very eclectic person - I love adventure, the outdoors, and being on/in the water. But I also enjoy watching movies, going to concerts, dancing, playing board games, hula hooping, floating down the river with my friends, or just hanging out.

Activities: movies, concerts/live shows, lounging, festivals, scuba, sailing, camping, hiking, whitewater rafting, hang gliding [still taking lessons], caving, off-roading,... I'll be happy with whatever life throws at me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I honestly enjoy all genres/everything, but I am currently digging on Stromae and Die Antwoord. My all time favorite song is No Rain by Blind Melon

Movies: comedies, action, drama; The Departed, Warm Bodies, A Knight's Tale;
TV - The OA, Outlander, Walking Dead (1-6), True Detective season 1, Stranger Things, Game of Thrones until well, you know

Books: I read a ridiculous amount of research articles for school and am super dyslexic, so I don't tend to read books for leisure. That being said I enjoy Audible have recently listened to "Can't Hurt Me", "Born a Crime", "Astroball", and "Snoop"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I could never really pick just one, but I get a lot of jaw drops about scuba diving with bull sharks in Pacific Harbor/Beqa, Fiji- no, there wasn't a cage; yes, it was intentional.

That or visiting Yamunotri , a Hindu temple in the Himalayas.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more about rowing - I think that would be fun in vancouver!
but also anything and everything - slacklining, surfing, canyoneering, rock climbing, poi, paragliding, bushcraft/survival techniques. etc

I can teach you how to hula hoop! (mostly it's about having the right type of hoop- kids hoops really don't work for adults)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge of the other places I've been too.

I have also worked in phobia lab, so I can help with a fear of snakes, spiders, small spaces, or almost anything else. For some reason, I don't think I am going to get any requests for that, not sure why, lol.
