My husband and I are currently on an around the globe trip for one year. We quit our corporate jobs to live life to the fullest and see the world. We have no regrets and still can’t believe how much fun we’re having. The best part is meeting new people and sharing new experiences.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and find that the best way to get to know a place is to meet locals and share experiences.
Travel - Whether it be an hour drive or a 14 hour flight, I love getting to new places. Long trips were much harder to do with a full time job, so now I’m taking advantage and spending longer stretches of time in a place when I can. Recent favorites include 3 weeks in Ubud, a month in Japan and 2 months in China - though we barely scratched the surface!
Food - No allergies or aversions, I’m pretty much open to trying anything once. From fine restaurants to street food, if it’s delicious - let’s go! My favorites include sushi, pasta, and anything covered in cheese. I love a good burger and of course tacos.
Movies - I love watching movies though sadly there are quite a few classics I still haven’t gotten to yet. Don’t ask me to tell you my favorite one because it’s too hard to pick and then I’ll probably default to something cheesy like Love Actually.
Reading - While I was working, I never found the time to read but now that I’ve been traveling I’ve been been enjoying all sorts of good reads on my kindle, though holding a real book is so much more fun. Just finished Little Fires Everywhere which I really enjoyed. Hear it’s being turned into a movie!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
One of the most rewarding parts of my travel has been volunteering while abroad. I have recently worked on two projects building homes with Habitat for Humanity. The first one was in China and I didn’t think anything could top it, but then I went to Nepal and was blown away. It was such an emotional experience. I hope to be able to do it again soon!
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
We love to share food, drink, and laughs!
