Finding my Personal Legend
I consider myself to be outgoing, adventurous, and open-minded. I go where the wind takes me which is hopefully somewhere I can have a blast, meet awesome people, and experience different cultures. I've been to a few different countries and can't wait to go to more. I have a good job back home in California, but am lucky enough to be able to take nice long breaks and do some really cool stuff.
Buy experiences instead of things. Live simply. Say YES to any traveling opportunity that comes your way. Live somewhere you never thought you would. Serve in a developing country so you can truly be thankful for all you have. Be a leader, follow your heart, and know that doing those things may get lonely. Enjoy every brief encounter you have with people you meet along your journey!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been hosted a few times around the globe, and now I'm hosting while I'm staying put for a bit in California. I've lived in some great places and now I'm living in one of the most beautiful little towns in the world (in my opinion)- Napa. I can't wait to show people around! I've met some amazing people and I absolutely love the concept of this site. Makes for great conversation when meeting new people!
I surfed in Australia, Mexico, Thailand, Vancouver BC, and Seattle...had a great time and met awesome people! I have truly enjoyed every single encounter I've had with Couchsurfers. There's just something about us.
Serving people, staying active, cycling, running, hiking, going out on the town, traveling, live music, camping, all that outdoorsy stuff, coffee, reading
Music, Movies, and Books
The Alchemist, The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Dave Eggers novels, The Hunger Games.
I love all kinds of indie music, electronica/house, and stuff that you don't hear on the radio (no, I'm not a hipster but I appreciate the undiscovered artists- except for my neighbor's band that plays loud and late)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have skydived which was incredible. I have also eaten Eskimo food in Alaska which is something I will never forget and something I will probably never do again (who wants to eat a baby seal?!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I got into my profession as a dietitian because I am passionate about good health and well being. I treat my body with respect and that includes putting healthy foods into it (most of the time)! Eating well and exercising make your body and mind happier, it's a proven fact. Since it is way easier said than done, my job and passion is to show and teach people how to take steps to living healthier, happier lives.
Countries I’ve Visited
