About Me

I'm currently travelling South East Asia with my boyfriend Luke. We're just left Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where I was teaching English and I'm a kindergarten teacher! It's a fun way to save up some money for the next leg of our trip -- Europe!

I'm a writer from Toronto and you can see our adventure on my blog: http://didyoupackit.com.

I like to cook, eat good food, read a good book, and make new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've yet to couchsurf yet because unfortunately I've never been in a position to host nor have I travelled in a place that has a lot of couchsurfing opportunities. Right now, we are planning on a Paris - Amsterdam - Belgium -Germany - Hungary - Croatia trip this summer and we would really love to meet some amazing people!

I like to get off the beaten tourist path. While we've been in Asia, we've seen the benefits of living like a local and I want to be able to experience that in Europe. I like to be inspired by meeting new people and share the love that Canadians have to offer.

Interests

I love to explore cafes, read a good book, and write. I have a lot of little notebooks that are unfinished and I'm always writing lists of of ideas.

I like to cook and try new food. I'm a pretty big foodie -- I'll try anything!

Music is also a big thing in my life. I enjoy techno, deep house, and trance music. I've travelled to music festivals all over North America and I can't wait to experience what Europe has to offer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh man, that's a hard one. Aside from quitting my job, selling all my stuff, and getting on a plane with my boyfriend ... hmmmm.

Since being over here, I've pushed myself so far out of my comfort zone more than once. Meeting elephants was pretty cool, they're like giant living dinosaurs up close. Jumping into the Blue Lagoon in Laos was scary and amazing for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing my writing and editing skills. Need help with a website, resume, instagram, blog? I can help! I love to edit and lend a hand.

Also, if you need your house cleaned, I'll do it for fun :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mostly just my excitement for being in Europe ... especially after living in Asia. I can't wait to drink real milk, eat cheese, have pasta .... the list goes on. Life in Asia has been different!

Countries I’ve Visited
