To see the world and meet amazing people!
Into politics, people, cooking, teaching, music, biking.
I love my 'hood: SouthWest DC, which is like a little village tucked under the national mall and so close to all the monuments.
Love to hang out with my guests and make music, or food, or art. Aaaand, I work for the US gov't (surprise).
Meeting great people makes life worth living
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to host people, as well as use couchsurfing to travel. I seem to host more, as I am always in DC for work. I love learning from my guests and they make me feel like I am experiencing the world without having to take time off to travel (which is hard for me to do).
Have hosted more than I've surfed...and met some amazing couch-surfers. Also go to the music brunch events with the amazing CS DC community
I love playing piano (or guitar), biking, composting, discussing politics. I also love dancing, going out, meeting new people, cooking, making music, making art.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love indyrock, reggae, indyhiphop. I love Wes Anderson movies, Cohen Bros movies (old ones) and Guy Ritchie movies. Foreign & indy-flicks. Authors: Michael Lewis, Erik Larson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was researching labor strikes and unemployment in Egypt leading up to the Egyptian Revolution of 2011, while living downtown with a family. Saw it all from my bedroom window (when I wasn't outside getting a better view). :)
Now in DC and I see it all from the federal point of view.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach people how to shuffle cards, open a bottle with a lighter. I want to learn how to roll a cigarette properly (just learned how but can always improve).
