Hello my name is Sam and I'm 23 years old.

As everyone else on this planet I am uncomfortable writing about myself, however I like to do things that are out of my comfort zone so here goes...

When I was younger at about 8 years old, my parents went on holiday with me to South Africa, we all loved it that much we emigrated there a year later. Due to unforeseen circumstances it was in our best interest to move back to the UK where I finished my eduction.

I got to about 17 and I felt incredibly dissatisfied with the education system and I struggled to understand why so many people get attached to grades to get a job they don't like and do that for the rest of their life. At 18 I left.

A year later I found myself joining the UK air force (RAF) in site of a new challenge, something totally different from what I was used to. I completed basic training and served in Afghanistan for 7 months. I enjoyed my job however once again I have got itchy feet and the lifestyle is not for me any more. So I am leaving and looking for the next thing to enlighten me.

So that sums up a brief history about me, but the real me, I hope that's enough for now. Please contact me if you'd like to know more, I'd love to hear from you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing as I have a nagging sound in the back of my head that I need to travel for a while so I on here to see how certain things work as I'm sure this site has a wealth of information to learn from.
