ABOUT ME

I was born 23 years ago, in Besancon. I have two older sisters, and we are very close to each other (we used to fight a lot !!).
My parents have always pushed us to learn English, knowing that it would become a necessity. So we used to go to England for holidays since we were 13 years old. We were the only frenchies, so it was really easy for us to make friends !!
After high school I decided to learn physics and chemistry at Uni. I had the opportunity to spend a year abroad, so I went to Atlanta (USA) to finish my bachelor's degree. I loved America, traveled a lot and improved my English.
After that I came back home, and went to an engineering school. I always had this feeling that I needed more, so decided to do an internship abroad, and chose Australia. I am in Sydney for 4 months and want to make the most of this adventure...

PHILOSOPHY

I like learning from people, improving my knowledge in any subject. I am open-minded and I love listening and asking questions.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to learn more about Australia, more than what you read in books or see in museums. I want to build real friendships and learn to know Australian people. I also want them to have a better idea of how french people are !!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never done CouchSurfing, but have friends who have done it before, and had a great experience !

Interests

I used to play the piano for 12 years, so music is very important in my life.
Traveling is really what I love the most. If I could, I would spend at least 3 months per year traveling, each time in a different country.

I've particularly loved New York, and this trip was probably my favorite.

Teach, Learn, Share

My first goal for this trip in Australia was to improve my English. For the past 2 months I've tried really hard to keep me away from french people, so that I would only speak English during the time I'm here. I've managed to do so, so I'm pretty happy with the improvements I've made :)
My second goal was to see your beautiful animals (that we don't have in Europe !!). I've done a trip to Kangaroo Island, so I saw many animals in there natural environment.
My third goal was to learn how to surf. I've spent one day with instructors, and succeeded to get up on my board ! Awesome ! I'll try again later.
My last goal was to travel as much as I could, so I've tried to spend my week-ends out of Sydney (Blue mountains, Kangaroo Island, Fraser Island, Canberra) and my next trips are Melbourne, the Whitsundays and Brisbane ! I can't wait...
