About Me

professional, employed, female, younger than my years, culturally curious, spiritually open, a mom, a lover of the unique, a hobby photographer, a knitter, an adventurous soul, an open-minded, non-judgmental person and someone who loves the sound of spontaneous laughter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I could just get a hotel or even stay in a hostel, but I'd rather connect with fun, friendly strangers who adore their city, are proud of it and are willing to share some insights and other life experiences with someone they don't know. I find the thought of staying in a hotel by night and exploring the sights of the city by day feels so limiting. I want a more genuine, vibrant experience than that!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music: I can't even. How do I pick? I refuse! I love all genres, except ... it's probably easier to say what little I don't like: Screamo. I find it physically impossible to listen to Screamo without wanting to rip my eyeballs out. Is that a deal breaker?

Favorite books: So many, but The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver and Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett are my absolute favorites

Favorite movie: I'm so far from a movie buff. I generally watch a movie once and forget it. I've disappointed many times in life because I can't recall a movie reference that everyone BUT ME seems to know! What can I say? Moulin Rouge, however, is my favorite movie. Why do I always feel the need to apologize when I admit that ... ?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once stood under a completely dark sky, 5 hours outside of civilization in Alaska, USA in -52 degree F (-47C) weather and watched Aurora Borealis dance over my head for a full hour. I learned that night just how many stars there actually are to been seen in the night sky and was changed. I couldn't feel my limbs after 15 minutes, but I've never felt more awakened in my life.
