About Me

I'm an adventurer looking to travel and learn about new cultures, especially French and French-Canadian (my dominant heritage). I am currently employed by the DNR as a Park Ranger during the early spring-late fall. During my off-season, I like to learn new skills/interests and travel whenever I can.

I currently live in Marine City, Michigan, which sits on the border of Canada on one of the largest freshwater deltas in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to meet new people and do some traveling and become immersed in other cultures. I also want to share my home and cultures with others, as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

It may sounds cliche, but I pretty much love all genres of music. Lately, I have especially been in love with Soul music.

I love movies that can get inside of your head and make you think. I love nature and travel documentaries. Good comedies are always enjoyable, too.

Books about nature and celebrations of the human spirit tend to strike a chord with me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving in Harbor Springs, MI... You absolutely have to try it!

Teach, Learn, Share

-I can teach guitar, cooking/baking, how to make dreamcatchers/beaded bags.
-I would love to learn more about my host's culture and I would especially love to be immersed in the French language.
-I would also love to learn any of my host's skills, especially: trade skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.), cooking/baking, gardening, painting/drawing.
-I can clean and cook during my stay. I can also assist with any yardwork and some maintenance that needs to be done. I'm skilled with chainsaws, weedwhips, zero-turn lawnmowers, and john deere tractors. I'm always willing to learn a new trade and assist with any home improvement projects.

What I Can Share with Hosts

-My culture
-I can cook and clean during my stay
-Assist with needed yardwork
