I have traveled a fair bit, to Australia, Europe, the Middle East, Japan and the US and we have hosted travelers as well, though not yet through this website. It's fun to meet new people and hear about and share their experiences. I love to ride bikes, and will borrow or hire wherever I am, it's the best way to experience a town, city or park.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently volunteering in Canada for a few months, and looking for a few places to stay on the way home to New Zealand. I really enjoy meeting locals, and think that really adds to the experience of travelling. I'll be seeing about doing some hosting when I get back to New Zealand.

Interests

I am a fan of well crafted fiction (movies, TV, novels) and more recently am really enjoying biographies and other non-fiction. I have a wide circle of friends, and love hanging out with like minded people but also enjoy exchanging different opinions.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like rock (Bon Jovi and others) and most movies (just not horror or stupid comedies). I am widening my horizon where books are concerned, everything from fantasy and romance to some interesting non-fiction. I'm open to suggestions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My time in Europe was pretty special, I loved Avignon, Barcelona and Rome. I also enjoyed a trip to the US, cycling around New York City and some amazing hikes in Zion Canyon were definite highlights.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an Aunty to six cool nieces and nephews, and appreciate being able to contribute into their lives. I am increasingly interested in volunteering, I want to make the world better place.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences and perspectives. I find that coming from New Zealand is a definite advantage, people either loved being there, or would love to go there. No one has a bad word to say about Kiwis!!
