My name is Sarah. I am originally from Holland where I lived and worked in Amsterdam as a psychologist trainer. 3 Years ago I decided to try out a different kind of life closer to nature. After a 4month travel starting in the south of Portugal I ended up in a beautiful valley in central Portugal where I still live. Together with my boyfriend we are working towards a social farm. e are living with and from the land, sharing our beautiful place with wwoofers and camping guests who enjoy living 'back to nature' as much as we do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to be a couch surfing host back in Amsterdam and enjoyed the contact with people from all over the world when traveling was not an option for me. Right now I am hoping to find a great host for myself while I am partaking in an intensive Portuguese language course at the university of Coimbra. I am looking for contact with Portuguese people to improve my language skills as much as possible during the 3 weeks that I'll be taking classes. The weekends I will spend at our quinta close to the Serra Estrella. I am looking for somebody who enjoys having some company during the week, to be cooking together, having good conversations, sharing experiences, all in a relative calm atmosphere.

Interests

I enjoy life and people in general, love to be physically active in a natural environment and keep being fascinated by growing my own food and eventually turning it into a good meal to enjoy with others. I get inspired by having meaningful conversations and understanding what makes people tick.
