About Me
ABOUT ME
I am very new to this - I just doscovered it and I think it is a FANTASTIC idea! It is what I already do for my many friends who are spread out around the UK.
My family and I were living in Africa until the beginning of this year and really enjoyed our 3 years spent there.
I was a drama teacher for years, but am having my own small mid life crisis and have spent some time trying to decide what I really want to do "when I grow up". Anyway, I have decided to retrain to become a Life Coach and so that is what I am doing at the moment.
I have two lovely daughters - a brand new teenager, with teenage behaviour to match who is a boarding school and a lovely 8 year old, who organises the household, because organisation matters to her more that to any one else in the house! We live with Sam, who is a friend from Africa and we are an odd, but very close family.
PHILOSOPHY
Based on my experience of life over the past year or so (I'll tell you over a bottle of wine one day) my personal philosophy is "Judge not, less ye be judged"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't at the moment - but watch this space - I'm going to!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I only have the usual, boring "I was so drunk I couldn't get home and I crashed on someone's couch stories - and they are from 20 years ago!
I have been trying to work out how we can travel on a shoe string and now I have found CouchSurfer I can see that my plans for showing my children the world are going to come to fruition much more quickly than I anticipated - fantastic!!!
Interests
We are intereted in lots of things! Food, theatre, travel, Forensic Anthropology (yes, really - Sam's degree), the beach, visiting friends, meeting new people.
- dining
- wine
- coach

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - not my department, my choice isn't allowed in this house, because the other 3 all seem to get priority over me on machines that are capable of playing music! Everyone else likes pretty much all kinds of music.
Movies - anything except horror films.
Books - I read avidly (about 3 or 4 books a week) and I'll read pretty much anything that I can lay my hands on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in Africa. I loved it and it was the most amazing 3 years of my life. I will return there when I can, with my girls.
Teach, Learn, Share
Sam can teach Salsa! Break out the wine and juice for the kids and let's have a go! I can help with English language skills if that is appropriate.
