About Me

I want to be like a huge sponge and soak up as much of the world as I can! I want to take the good with the bad, the beautiful with the ugly, and see it all through the lenses of love.

At the moment, I'm trying to be both realistic and hopeful. I'm almost finished college and thinking seriously about the rest of my life. My first real travelling experience was in June 2003 when I went to Rome with a close friend, and have been bitten by the travel-bug ever since!

I've honestly never thought about a question like this. I live my life trying to live up to my full potential, all the while being open to whatever comes my way. I try to see the world through the lover's eyes, and look for the goodness around me.

I'm interested in faith, food, frisbee, culture, customs, language, literature, beauty, bohemianism, and alliteration.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie is Amelie; favorite book is Franny and Zooey by J.D Salinger; favorite music is currently Jack Johnson, Iron and Wine, and Mozart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer, I went to Paris for four days on my own. On a whim, I accepted an offer for coffee from a stranger--something I would never normally do--and it turned out to be a real blessing! He was a gracious and caring tour guide, and as we struggled to make ourselves understood with his limited english and my non-existent french, we both learned something about ourselves and each other's culture. It was all about trust.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn anything that is offered to me. I can teach people about the joys and excitement of experiencing NYC for the first time, of coming out of the subway into the lights of Times Square, of strolling through Central Park, of sipping coffee in Greenwhich Village, of lighting a candle in St. Patrick's Cathedral. It's all about the cheap, simple pleasures.
