ABOUT ME

Hola! I am a creative, peaceful, and free-spirited young nonprofit professional from Boston, United States. I have lived in Argentina and Chile and am fluent in English and Spanish. Hola! Soy una joven creativa, tranquila, y de espíritu libre, y trabajo en el sector ONG. Soy de Boston, Estados Unidos. Viví en Buenos Aires como estudiante de intercambio, y viajé un rato en Chile, asi hablo inglés y español.

PHILOSOPHY

I aim to love myself, other people, and Mother Earth as fully and deeply as possible. I can find joy and peace in everything that I encounter. I aspire to become a social worker who uses creative methods to help others grow, heal, and thrive in their community. Travel is the best way to grow!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing has been wonderful! Ha sido increíble! Me quedé con varios anfitriones en Chile en 2014. Hasta ahora, no he participado como anfitriona. I stayed with a few hosts in Chile in 2014. Up until now, I have not participated as a host.

Interests

Mind-body practices (yoga, meditation, dance); hiking and exploring outdoors, especially by the ocean; running; visual art and writing/journaling/poetry. Improving my Spanish and learning Brazilian Portuguese. Connecting with friends new and old over snail mail, food, and drinks! I'm passionate about social justice, especially for women and immigrants, and aspire to become a social worker.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have facilitated an arts group for formerly imprisoned women in the U.S. Their talent and warmth is a huge inspiration to me! Also, learning to surf a little at isolated beaches in Chile was absolutely surreal and beautiful. Yo facilité un grupo de arte para mujeres que fueron incarcelados. Su talento y cariño es una gran inspiración para mi. Igual, aprendiendo un poco de surf en zonas aisladas de Chile era algo sureal y hermoso.

I will teach English! Especially to Spanish-speakers. Me gusta enseñar el inglés a los hispanohablantes!
