About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new people who are open-minded and interesting.

ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly, curious thinker. I like complex thoughts, but simple surroundings. I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, known for making boats out of giant pumpkins! I went to college in Colorado, because I love to ski and be outdoors. I have spent time living in southern France and Croatia.

Just left my job of past four years, working at a technology start-up in downtown Boston. Going to ski in Colorado for a few months, then head to somewhere warm on the Mediterranean. :)

PHILOSOPHY

I am always looking for ways to grow and understand myself and others more. I believe it's important to find community in life. Unfortunately, too much of life is spent working in a way that narrows our mind. We strive for things that tend to make us focus on ourselves and move us towards isolation. I find this to be especially true in the United States.

I want to become more comfortable sharing who I am with other people, and I hope I can teach others and allow them to explore something new as they witness my lifestyle.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to have a couch in Boston, but now I just sleep on other peoples' couches. :-) Going to be moving around for awhile...

Interests

philosophy, cooking, language, cats, skiing, outdoors, traveling, gardening, cooking, discussing business ideas, computers, web design, dancing, music, studying culture

Music, Movies & Books

I love music so much! electronic, classic rock, alternative rock, rap... just not too much American country.

I read a lot of travel and business stuff.

I like foreign films (foreign to an American, that is)

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Dancing at a hostel on a cliff with lots of new friends, somewhere between Nice and Monte Carlo, until early morning.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been told I'm pretty insightful when it comes understanding people. I'm also a decent cook, and I give healthy eating/living tips for free. :) I love talking about language too, so I'm happy to help you with your English.
