About Me

Current mission:
To keep "letting go,and letting God" ...to record my music, to finish writing my book(s), to relocate to a place where there are more people who share my current values and view on life.

About me:
I am an artist, musician, traveler, writer person and also a Certifed Health Coach. I love being able to help people get healthy!
I have lived in many places in the world and learned a lot of things the hard way.
I spent pretty much all of my 20's trying to expatriate to Europe, Ireland specifically.. It's only been since summer of 2015 that I've decided to just go ahead and make a home somewhere in America, time to put down roots!!

I'm the kind of person who has risked everything more than once to follow a dream. Sometimes the dream was real and rewarding , sometimes not but an educational experience all the same. I am the kind of woman that is committed to keeping an open heart and firm belief in the power of love to heal all wounds.

I like to laugh and have a wacky sense of humor and a pretty sharp wit.
I love to dance, as in I really know how to cut a rug.. And tango is great too, a whole different kind of dancing experience, so beautiful and timeless.

I like to cook, I like domestic stuff in general.. I'm sort of old fashioned that way. I really love kids and animals, and nature. I like the idea of homesteading, growing my own food, self sufficiency and so on especially in the context of a larger community…I tried doing that from scratch all by myself on 7 rural acres in New Mexico www.selfreliancefarm.org but the element of community involvement was TOTALLY lacking so... It didn't really pan out.. Maybe another time with more people and more capital!
On to the next chapter! .....

Moving to the SouthEast and hoping to live on a small sailboat that I can learn to sail! This has ALWAYS been a huge dream of mine and it seems prices of 23-27 ft sailboats have dropped dramatically in recent years so, whoppie!!
This is an attainable dream for me, not to mention the fact that a dock slip in a marina comes out to being far less than a monthly rental with an ocean view would be, just about anywhere.. Ah, the sea.. how I LOVE the sea,..
I hope to establish a thriving Health Coach career wherever I decide to land ( or dock, I should say) (Savannah? Charleston? St Augustine.? Etc, etc) and get my books published! (Thank goodness for Amazon! No need for publishers these days when you can do it yourself!)

Philosophy:

*Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
*Everything happens for a reason, find the lesson in it and grow.
*What goes around comes around and every choice you make comes back to you one way or another so make choices you can be proud of and learn from your mistakes and allow them their natural course: to shape you into a better, stronger wiser person.
*When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.
* GOD IS LOVE

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on here for ages… Can't remember how long, over a decade.

Originally I joined CS because I wanted to travel and could usually scrape enough money together to afford the overseas plane ticket but not the months of accommodation! CS was what enabled me to travel as much as I did, for as long as I did on a shoe string! I've met many great people along the way, many of whom are now good friends.
CS represents the kind of unspoken travelers code of mutual hospitality that used to be universal in the world…. These days it's harder and harder to find people who feel safe with the idea of “ taking in a stranger” but thanks to CS, you can rest assured that underneath the “stranger” is a member of the extended family of fellow travelers, explorers, adventurers and people who live life outside the box and keep life fresh and interesting.

Interests

Sustainable Agriculture, homesteading and self sufficiency. Good gatherings with great food and music around a bonfire, days spent in nature just taking it all in, anything to do with the Ocean, ( sailing, swimming, seafood!etc) Celtic music and culture, Native American culture and history, Travel, Horses, Antiques or anything that looks/feels like it has a good story behind it. Old books, used bookstores, slow rides on the back of a motorcycle up windy mountain roads on beautiful days, staying informed on current geo-socio-political and economic realities via multiple sources of news. Maintaining a daily work out routine of some kind, stargazing, being of service, playing with kids, taking care of elderly folks, making art, getting lost in good thrift stores finding bargains and treasures. Climbing trees, long conversations that go into the wee small hours of the morning. I don't really know where this list ends.......

Once in a while I'll read something fun and light like Steinbeck's Travels with Charlie or The Daily Coyote but mostly I enjoy reading books that give a second perspective on relationships, self, business, or are just instructional books on things like intuitive horsemanship, permaculture or sailing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had uncanny supernatural experiences in Ireland. The kind stuff that "only happens in movies" ... But it happened to me and it was all very real.

I've had dreams of things that later came to pass in reality.

I walked into a real crop circle just a few hours after it was created in Southern England, It was raining, we parked, got out, the rain stopped, the clouds parted, a magnificent rainbow came out while we ventured into the circle... after about 20-30 minutes of looking and taking photos and being in awe, we got back in the car, just to see the clouds roll back in and the steady rain fall resume... Now THAT was amazing
