ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Sara, and I don't like working 9-5 just to pay bills. So last summer I quit my job and embarked on a mission to bask in as much sunshine as possible! I've spent the last several months roadtripping and visiting my family and friends in California before making my move to Puerto Rico for some extended beach bumming. I'm currently in Omaha visiting friends and refilling my savings (oh, and doing jury duty. seriously.) so I can leave on another adventure, ASAP. I love to cook, drink, party, dance, paint, and make new friends! I'm super flexible and usually find it easy to be relaxed and comfortable in odd situations.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe everyone has the power to better themselves as a person, inside and out. Being resistant to change is self-destructive, while embracing it is the nicest thing you can do for yourself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few times, while in Puerto Rico. Nothing like cramming five people on air mattresses into a studio apartment! Oh, and a bike. Five people and a bike in a studio.

Interests

KITTIES! omg kitties. birds, dogs, snakes butterflies. all those cute things. I love to cook. I make amazing mixed beverages. I love to drink and dance, even if no one else will. I enjoy a good picnic and outdoor nap. Riding my one-speed bicycle is fun, too.I also love nail polish. If you think that's irrelevant, we probably can't be friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a good night in watching movies! I don't discriminate, even if it means reading subtitles for 2 hours. Duck Season (Mexico?) and Chance (Panama, right?) are two favorites. Another REALLY cute movie is Moving Target and a super ridiculous comedy I like is I Love You Phillip Morris. 21 Jump Street is hugely underrated. Music? My guilty pleasures are the songs that help me get down and dance :) Otherwise, I love Clinic, MGMT, Santigold and Incubus. John Mayer kind of speaks to my heart. I also have a soft spot for 90's country because it brings me back to being 8 again.I haven't enjoyed reading since I finished the Harry Potter series. boo. Any good book recommendations, please let me know!
