About Me

All things subject to change based on reality as it occurs

I've been treading water in PA since I moved back from Europe. I'm currently a manager of a Pizza Hut and hate it. I'm waiting for March when I head to West Virginia to start as a whitewater rafting guide. Until then I'm just trying to keep my head above the water.

I think my Uncle couldn't have put it more perfectly when he described my family's idea of a plan is a rough sketch done in crayon on a napkin at breakfast.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my first real trial at the couch surfing thing, but of course I'm interested in helping the community by providing what I can and not taking more than my share from those who are willing to host me.

I was turned on to CouchSurfing when me and a few friends were stranded in Venice. My friend Dave is a huge advocate and was able to talk to a couple who just so happened to have enough room to house all 5 of us. It was a great experience. The couple was very hospitable and a lot of fun (not to mention almost annoyingly cute together). Ever since I've got it in my head that I want to have more experiences like this and hope to create a few for other travelers.

I like culture, drinking, sight seeing, looking for things off the beaten path, and over all creating memorable experiences and friends that will last.

Way too much to list...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled Turkey for 5 days, and not once did I stay in a hostel. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it has been one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life. Not only was in a country where I have absolutely no basis for communication with the locals I made my own time schedule and saw things that most people might have missed.
