I love reading story books especially English classical books,science fictions and detective stories. I also love to listen to songs by Tagore,our Nobel-laureate poet. before turning into a complete housewife I used to teach in a secondary school .So I love mingling with children. but my true passion is history,especially ancient history of Greece. I love cooking and am a very hospitable host.(this recommendation is not self created. )I have stayed in Israel, the USA and Japan with my husband.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I ,along with my 7 years old daughter, will be accompanying my husband to Portugal in July'17. We want to have a glimpse of the countryside of Portugal by mingling with locals and knowing their culture and being a part of their day to day life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day when I was on the railway platform waiting for my train to go to college, a hungry man came to me and asked for food. I took him to a restaurant and with my pocket money and my travel fare I fed him in spite of being laughed at by my friends. The man gave me a lot of blessings. It was a real pleasure to do something for others in need. I have done like this later also with a lot of pleasure and feeling blessed.
