About Me

CURRENT MISSION

1. Enjoy the now;
2. To be exposed to cultures from around the world;
3. Learn as many cooking recipes as possible.

ABOUT ME

Made huge life choices, so that I can spend as much time as possible with my 12 year old son, Sheylen.

Favourite past times include sailing, cycling, walking, reading, cooking and ...............sharing wine & food..

I serve as a volunteer to a couple of NGOs and my favourite one (SDI) works with slum dwellers in 33 countries around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Listen with your eyes, heart and ears. "Sheylen, when he was 7 years old"

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I joined in July 2011 to learn Spanish. I still do not know any Spanish, but I love Argentinian wine :-)

It is fun meeting strangers outside my circle and comfort zone. Interacting with people from different parts of the world is a beautiful experience for my son and I.

For now, we host or meet CS members who are open to sharing their experiences with us.

CSers who stay with me, are requested to spend a little time with Sheylen, chatting about their country, engaging him or teaching a new tune on the piano or saxophone. His interests are soccer, reading, piano/saxophone, movies (lots of movies). Sheylen loves chatting about famous soccer players from different countries and also loves to practice his Finnish language (his mother is from Finland)

Interests

Favourite past times include sailing, cycling, walking, reading, cooking and ...............sharing wine & food. So, if you are willing to share cooking secrets, that would be fun.

Music, Movies & Books

You can check out our book shelves and listen to the music on the iPod :-).

One Amazing Thing I've Done

My most amazing 'Thing I've done ' is being an 'active & present' father to my son, who is now 12 years old.

Teach, Learn, Share

For the mind:
-Have a keen interest in economics and politics.
-Listening to my son sharing his views on the world & people around him.
-Live music.

For the body:
Walking, sailing, and cycling.

For the stomach:
Love to cooking/experimenting with different tastes and good wine

So if you are coming to stay with us....we offer to share and look forward to listening and learning from you.

What I Can Share With Hosts

1. Experiences that have assisted, in making me a better person;

2. Happy to cook and share a glass or two of wine.

3. Our love for being on the ocean and nature.
