ABOUT ME

I'm a happy person, eternally optimistic, fun-loving, outgoing, serious at times, driven, enthusiastic about education of all sorts. I love people. I love Indonesians! I love art, though I can't create it. I love music, though I can't play it. I love books... and one of those I'll probably write someday ;)
I mostly love new things- people, places, thoughts, experiences... good or bad, I love being exposed to new things. If you're surfing on my couch or I'm surfing on yours, I hope that's a GOOD experience, lol.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host, and be hosted. I'd definitely encourage anyone to come visit Athens if you like hippies, an pretty hot underground music scene, lectures on SEA affairs, or (...it IS home to OU...) parties. People are pretty damn outgoing here, I'm sure you'd feel welcome. And the local restaurants: make sure to buy local produce (of which we have much), and make some DEEEEElicious food! I love this town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I crashed on the couch of a few friends of a friend in Virginia for a couple of weeks.. helped out with cleaning and cooking (they were pretty lazy guys) to do my part... it was a good time, relaxed, nice, and a wonderful way to get to know some more people in this world. I mean, there can't be any real problems as long as there's mutual respect, which there was, and everyone knows it's only a temporary thing, right?! :-)

Interests

Languages, culture (all aspects of, i.e. religion, socio-economic status and perceptions, etc etc)... people. I'm really interested in people, alike and unalike to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a fan of Russian literature, though I'd never really like to visit the cold, distant country. I love a good book, and am a big fan of the Economist and Mother Jones.. newsmagazines. I love to cook, and to eat :-) I love good company, and fantastic (sometimes heated) discussions. I'm pretty unaware of anything to do with music, but I know what sounds good and what doesn't, and I'm always up for new introductions. I mean, music has a magical ability to connect people, gotta love it.
