About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Test the waters of the CouchSurfing movement and see what its all about.

ABOUT ME

How do you even begin here? Lets try this: Height: 6'1" Weight: anywhere between 185-200 depending how badly lethargy has tabled my exercise regiment. Hair: Red, and thanks to the pharmaceutical giant Merck I should be able to counter the hereditary effects of male pattern baldness indefinitely!

PHILOSOPHY

Live life with zero regret. Treat others as you would be treated yourself. Lead with a smile. To each his own. Time will tell. The grass is always greener on the other side, BUT its just as difficult to mow.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have never "surfed" before so my participation is non-existent at this point. Precisely the reason I'm setting this account up so I can 'slow dance' with this community...'feel it out'...'test the waters'...(FILL IN YOUR CLICHE HERE) and determine how I can participate in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Zip. Zilch. Zero. Nada.

Interests

Christopher Nolan, concerts at the 9:30 Club, Paul Van Dyk in the summer, window seats on an airplane, chips and salsa, Lonely Planet guides, snowball fights, sneakers, rocks glasses with gin, anything written by Michael Lewis, chix parmesan, travel...

Music, Movies & Books

The Rolling Stones are hands down the greatest rock n' roll band of all time. End of discussion. U2 is not far off. Coldplay remains to be seen... Top three movies: 1). Animal House 2). Braveheart 3). Tie: Get Shorty/Dark Knight/Untouchables

I HATE Darren Aronofsky

Books: I never learned to read. Only partially true.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I hitch hiked 3,000 miles up Australia's west coast. I hitch hiked around the Caribbean. I hiked to Everest Base Camp in seven days. I rode a motorcycle around India. I spent 36 hours in a ten person van in Mongolia...with 19 passengers. I visited Myanmar. I climbed to the roof of Africa. I won two national lacrosse championships. I hugged my mother last time I saw her.

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel the value I could add to a total strangers life for 24-48 hours is two fold: 1). I'm a finance/numbers nerd. I enjoy explaining complex finance to ordinary people who otherwise might be intimidated or afraid to ask about that kind of "stuff." 2). I've traveled the world over and enjoy educating others about difficult cultures and shattering people's misinformed notions about the world outside the US.
