ABOUT ME

Originally from Sacramento, but I study on the beach at the beautiful University of California at Santa Barbara : ) Currently studying abroad in Italy for a semester at the Universita' di Padova, and trying to sqeeze in as much traveling as possible while I'm in Europe!

I LOVE animals - I'm a vegetarian, volunteer at my local dog shelter back home, and spread the word about animal rights. I try to be active; I played soccer (football) year round for many, many years but now I mostly run. Body art is a passion of mine, both tattoos and piercings, and I have several myself : ) This is my first big travel experience and I'm loving every minute of it!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I can't host anyone now (I'm living in dorms!) I would love o do so once I get back to California. I think CS is an amazing way to meet amazing people, learn new things, and open your eyes to new ideas. Can't wait!

Too many movies to list...I'm totally a movie buff and love every genre. I have a huge DVD collection and am always down to watch one!

I couldn't live without music. Some faves include: Incubus, Death Cab, Led Zeppelin, Something Corporate, Explosions in the Sky, Ratatat, Pink Floyd...

Reading is one of my favorite ways to pass the time. I love the classics as well as modern novels that let me escape into their pages. Some faves: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Fall On Your Knees, East of Eden, Crime & Punishment, The Virgin Suicides, Pride & Prejudice, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Harry Potter...I'm obsessed : )
