hello.
my name is Michael and my wife Karen.I'm from california (half italian) and my wife is from Rio Brazil(half german) .I'm a soldier,stationed in Germany.My wife is a housewife.We're both very interested in traveling during my free days,meeting interesting people from all over the world and learning about different cultures and different languages also.
We're interested in music,art,languages,different cultures and making new friends who'll share with us some good moments in this beautiful planet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are opening our house to people interested in visiting Germany,we're looking for hosts in other countries,and friends that we'll share with us the same passion of learning more about other cultures,and seeing other places.

Interests

What we like:music,movies,taking long walks,taking pictures,going to museums,going out to have a nice meal at a nice restaurant on a friday evening,and just talk and laugh.
What we don't like:sports,hip hop,rap,techno,....I guess we're not very picky people!! :)

Movies:from comedy to horror.As long as it makes sense!
Music:country,brazilian music,pop,classic music,and the #1 ROCK N' ROLL!
Books:i don't have much time to read but my wife likes Agatha Cristie,Dan Brown,Cecilia Ahern and some brazilians authors that i can't spell the names!She likes also poetry.

Teach, Learn, Share

We are willing to help people become fluent in English,Portuguese and my wife can also help begginers in German and Spanish with some tips.Also History of Brazil,United States, and Germany.We can give some advices for people that would like to travel to one of those countries.
We'd love to learn other languages,like French,Russian,Italian,but any other language would be very welcome.Different cultures,different food,sight-seeing,everything you have in your country it's what we'd like to see and learn about.
We'd like to share informations about parties,music and art events around Europe,book tittles,music,poetry,new places to visit and informations about places we've already saw and receive informations about places we never went!
