CURRENT MISSION

Finding my feet as a full time novelist. Although I'm already published locally and abroad in certain subject-literature I was forced into a career change, early 2022, due to a serious injury.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

Primarily an introvert I don't mind my own company or doing my own thing. Although I thoroughly enjoy one on one, or maybe small group discussions, on any of the interests listed, hosts (or guests) don't need to feel they have to babysit me. If we agree to spend some time together whilst couchsurfing, then great, if we don't, that's great as well. In terms of hosting me I really don't need a lot: A spot to sleep, some bedding and a pillow or two and I'm good to go. All of that said, I'm quite a big guy (former athlete) so don't be surprised when you see me. LOL.

I have quite a simple philosophy on life:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I'm travelling as a way to break off from my day to day, primarily so that I can review my final drafts before my books go for publishing. (You'll see me lugging a print copy around the house. )

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted guests from the States, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and South Africa. Haven't actually surfed anywhere myself.

Interests

Probably not necessary to list them again. :D Everything listed is close to my heart though, both in interest and in practice. I've travelled and experienced quite a bit when it comes to my interests, under stranger than usual circumstances I might add, so I'm also quite confident that we can have a great time talking about them.

Music, Movies, and Books

With reading I have a soft spot for period pieces novels (specific sub-genres though), Cold War espionage, hard science fiction and fantasy. That said I tend to read prolifically. Movies I love a good period drama, and, although tried really hard to dislike it, I loved the new Top Gun. Music I don't mind anything, I just enjoy if there's depth and skill involved. Okay, maybe I don't like R&B and Hip Hop.
