Hey Couchsurfers! I can be on the quiet side when I first meet people but I'm also friendly and love learning about other cultures and ways of existing. Like most couchsurfers, I LOVE to travel. I recently finished an around the world trip in from June 2013 to July 2014. It was amazing and so many of the good memories were thanks to couchsurfing! Now I've settled down in Taipei as one of the many English teachers in the city :)
Trust other people and say yes to new opportunities. Life is short and I want to experience as much as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Almost all my experiences surfing and meeting people have been awesome! I'm so happy this community exists and I'm looking forward to many more great experiences in the future.
Cooking, learning, and planning my next adventure.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I like documentaries and comedies. Music: Tom Waits, The Mountain Goats, Sonic Youth, Beyonce (of course). Books: Some great stuff I've read recently includes "The New Jim Crow" by Michelle Alexander, "Just Kids" by Patti Smith, and I'm currently working my way through the Robert Caro biographies of Lyndon Johnson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most memorable place seen: Koh Rong island, Cambodia and midnight swims with bioluminescent creatures. Also Patagonia was magical and spectacular and I want to go back soon!
