ABOUT ME

Hello,
I am the Head Brewer and General Marketer for Do Can Brewery in Lowell Massachusetts in the United States, starting in mid-July of this year.
I am finishing my degree in marketing and management at Edinburgh University and while in Europe will be starting a collaborative network of breweries, artisan beverage organizations and supporting industry organizations. This network will allow for beverage organizations for no charge to work together across the world: collaborating on everything from best practices in brewing and business to recipe development and contract brewing to enter into over-seas markets.
For my degree dissertation of ‘The Developing Marketing Trends in The Craft Beer Industry’ I have undertaken a two years research plan employing multiple methods of research , of which research I have constructed the collaborative network and the marketing plan to support it.
Other than that, I am a fun individual always looking to find something new and enjoy the areas in which I live and visit.

Interests

artisan beverage making; soda, beer, coffee, tea, kambucha, wine, juice, etc. Cooking, Carpentry, drawing, painting, networking, sewing.... you name it I enjoy it! Was brought up learning many different skill sets and have worked in over a dozen different industries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I played college football at Curry College in Boston MA, a competitive sailor since the age of of seven, played 12 years of competitive soccer in the states, since transferring from a sports college in the states to the University of Edinburgh on academic merit I have lost over 80 pounds and started to competitively curl. For my dissertation for my degree in marketing and management I have undertaken 2 years of ethnography, working in the craft beer industry as a brewer, marketer, retail manager and brand representative and preforming interviews of inter industry professionals and consumers. Through this research I have been able to get a post graduation job as head brewer and general marketer of Do Can Brewery in Lowell MA and have started the building of a collaboritive network of beverage organizations and consumers to improve the status of the beverage industry across the globe.
