About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Just raising my girls as best as I can.

ABOUT ME

I like to share what I have, when I can, and take CS out, show them around.

PHILOSOPHY

Live to give, not take. Too many takers out there.
Travel to gain experiences: they can never be taken from you. Don't waste opportunities that come your way. Looking back I wasted some great chances for an experience. Don't have a one track mind either, there is always another way and another opinion.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am here to meet, socialize, and enjoy the company of couch surfers. Surfers who want to do activities with myself, & my kids and get to know us and become friends.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Travelled the world twice plus worked in Asia constructing water parks. On my first trip to America in 1984, I was invited up to the Cockpit to watch the sunrise. Spent half hour chating to the Captain & First Officer. I new people in high places.
Watching my children been born, was amazing, I never believed in miracles before that.
I build a hanglider back in 1976 and flew it for 2 years. Than took up skydiving, 40 jumps later I stoped.
I have also Skindived, Bunged, Rappelling, Absailed,Skied, Snow Boared, Cannoning, Caving, and many more experiences.
In 1988 I took my sister for a helicopter ride over the lava pod at the Hawaiian volcano on the Big Island.
When I was in Egypt in 96, While walking the streeets in Cairo, was invited into a wedding fuction. Ended up dancing like a mad man, on stage in front of 300 + people. Was fun
Also climbed about a 1/5 the way up the main pyramid before a guard pointing a rifle at me orded me down.

In Zimbabwe back in 1985, when I was "STUPID" , I grabed a Black Mamba by the tail, thinking it was just a harmless green tree snake like we have in Australia. It had it head in some bush, and trying to get away from me. I flicked it out into the open area and stabed it on the head with a small stick next to me.
What a idiot I was. Lucky to be alive.

The English Language.
"Fuz Zy's" response to the debate of making English language spelling more phonetic (shudder). Priceless.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government
conceded that English spelling had some room for
improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan
that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c".
Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with
joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k".
This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik
enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome
"ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words
like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling
kan be expekted to reach the stage where more
komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double
letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate
speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent
"e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go
away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from
vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil
hav a reil sensibl riten styl.

Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil
find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united
urop vil finali kum tru.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German
like zey vunted in ze forst plas. Haha
