Balance and appreciation.

ABOUT ME

Easy going, fun guy that likes working hard and enjoying life.

PHILOSOPHY

Love the life you live. Sharing stories and ideas through conversation with good people. Thats what i want more of.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to meet people and would love to host once I'm settled.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I backpacked around western Europe in 2004 where I never stayed in a hotel a single time. Hostels in Europe VARY GREATLY in their quality, so i certainly felt like I was couch surfing. One night in Paris I couldn't find any hostels that were open so I begged the guy to let me sleep in his closet for 20 Euro..... ill never forget it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of music, i play classical piano, but have always loved percussion instruments. I listen to everything from classic rock (Pink Floyd) to electronic dance music (Feed Me). Kurt Vonnegut is one probably my favorite author. I want to read Kerouac, Joyce, and Tolstoy. I love any movie that makes you think. If you can walk away from it without wanting to discuss what you just saw, then it probably wasn't worth watching.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing at Electric Daisy Carnival, June '11, watching 11,000 people on psychedelics run around covered in glowing jewelery, while the most incredible lights, music, and energy surrounded me. This function was out of control. It was incredibly mesmerizing, something I wouldn't want to do again but a memory I wouldn't trade for anything.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can fix almost anything mechanical. I am a sort of "outside-the-box" problem solver. I would say my super-skill is just that, problem solving through critical thinking. I have a motto "Work smarter, not harder" and it applies to everything in life. And i brew some mean beer.
