ABOUT ME

I am an electrical engineer who has focused on audio applications my entire career. I have designed guitar amplifiers, DJ mixers and most recently, televisions. I now provide sound enhancement technology to help companies make their TV's, computers, cell phones, etc all sound better! This current job allows me to travel extensively, which was one of the main reasons I was happy to take it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now had my first CS experience - in Istanbul, Turkey! It was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and warm! I feel I have met people only for a single weekend, but we can be friends for a long time to come. I have told MANY people about my great Turkey CouchSurfing experience!

Interests

I play guitar in a local rock band. Go surfing in Del Mar and sometimes down to Mexico. One of my favorite things to do is to go to concerts in San Diego and Los Angeles! From punk bands in small clubs to popular bands in arenas... In late August/early September, you will ALWAYS find me at BURNING MAN!! )'(

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Love HOUSE music! Can dance til the sun comes up to that! Also PUNK ROCK - Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Rancid... Other stuff, too, like Pearl Jam, Chili Peppers, Gaslight Anthem, Bruce Springsteen...
Movies: I've gone to the movies ONCE in the last 3 years. In that same time, I've seen probably 100 concerts... tells you where my priorities are :) I do catch some good ones on TV sometimes, though... And I love my DVD of "Life is Beautiful" :)
Books: "The Art of Racing in the Rain", "Slaughterhouse 5", "The Sun Also Rises"... love Saramago, too. Haven't had much opportunity to read in the last year, but I hope to get into it again...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have bungee jumped off the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE in San Francisco, haha. Yes, it was a long time ago - before 9/11... I'm sure security is much tougher now ;)
