About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Live With Passion And Abandon My Ego For The Sake Of Humanity!

ABOUT ME

I'm very friendly, very energetic, open-minded, and caring. And ADHD! But I've considered that a blessing in my life :) My passion is people and nature. I suppose yes, that is broad enough to encompass literally everything in existence, but it's true! Throughout my travels thus far I've concluded that although man has explored and conquered almost entirely by land, air, and sea...the one adventure that can never be fully conquered is the exploration of humanity. I have learned that getting to know others and learning from them is by far the greatest adventure of all.

PHILOSOPHY

I will leave my philosophy for conversation. This for me cannot be summed up simply in a short paragraph because the philosophy I would label by my name is ever changing and evolving.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the website, but have been technically couch surfing for over a year now. The way to make the most of these experiences whether crashing or hosting is to be open, honest, and expressive. Let the truth of how you are wash over you and become apparent for all strangers to see. In embracing our own truth and accepting it, we have nothing left to hide from.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It was tradition in my family to give anyone in need a place to rest and feel welcome. My mother has been a great example of bringing others in to become part of our large network of family all over the nation. I've been blessed ten fold in my travels compared to what our family has given others. Friends, family, and strangers have opened up their homes to me with excitement and eagerness, while still leaving a more than open invitation to come back to visit. It's the greatest feeling in the world and pushes forth a sliver of hope in the goodness of humanity.

Interests

Sociology takes my interest more than anything. My favorite past time is contemplating the human condition. I spend most of my free time hiking or doing anything outdoors. My most prominent nickname among many is Tarzan, which pretty well encompasses who I am! My flattering friends tell me I'm a combination of Tarzan and Shakespeare, but I think that may be pushing it a bit. I travel quite a bit and my favorite aspect of travel has hands down become getting to know other people. I have only one life to live with the consciousness given to me and I do not intend on living my life lack luster.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was humbled beyond belief when I finally made summit on the Middle Teton. When I was in Yellowstone and saw 4 wolves chasing down an elk while a few hundred yards away a grizzly bear chowed down on another elk. And I was in shock for awhile after I got jumped for the first time while in South Africa.
