I am the vocalist for a South African rock band called Indie Dog. I've spent a lot of time on the road and I will likely continue to do so as a touring musician. We're a group of four guys, deeply entrenched in our music and passionate about making something of this trade we've chosen.

A bit about the band itself:

Indie Dog is a Joburg based rock band with eclectic influences ranging from 70’s classic rock, the 90’s grunge and funk rock movements, to modern indie, pop and rock bands. Each member brings his own flavour into the mix, crafting what has come to be known as the signature Indie Dog sound.

The music is created with a message in mind. Every instrument, every lyric, every note is placed with the intention of getting that message to the listener. Their burning passion for life translates into ear worms that stay with you long after the music has stopped.

Whenever we tour we always link up with the locals of the town we're in to do as the Romans do. We enjoy meeting new people and making friends along the way. When I came across CS I saw that it seems to facilitate that quite well.

We all have various music tastes, but they're mostly rock-centric with smatterings of pop, house, etc. Essentially, if it's good, we like it. My personal favourite movie has to be Endless Summer 2 by Bruce Brown. I've read way too many books to say what my favourites are, but among the top 10 are the Wheel of Time series, The Dark Tower Series, Harry Bosch Novels and a bunch of the classics such as Orwell's 1984.

You'll likely get a private performance from us! And our bassist cooks a mean beer can chicken on an open fire. Besides that, when we stay with people while touring we generally cook them a meal and play them some music to give some exchange for the hospitality.
We all come from different backgrounds and are good conversationalists. We've all travelled a fair amount and love sharing our experiences.
