I by the way do speak Spanish but I'm not fluent. I've lived in Colombia and Chile and I have some Latina heritage as well, but I'm still striving to be a more fluent speaker. I love to travel and meet people. I'm a mom to a wonderful young man who works hard. I believe in truly respecting and valuing people just as I want to be treated. I know fully well that we all can't be friends but we can strive to treat people right. I've had to learn to survive some culture shock experiences so adapting is important for me even when the situation isn't so comfortable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel, teach and then rest a little. I truly love teaching English and I've now become a professional in the field, but as we know teachers worldwide with a few exceptions in some regions, don't make high salaries. So travel and meeting people is what I love to do and at the same time find economical ways to do it. Yet, I also enjoy giving and sharing my experiences and well as skills in cooking and cleaning. So I would be willing to give or cook a host a wonderful international dish.

I went to Chile and lived there almost a year. I made a paella once and hope to make it again.
