One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) Hiking up the second highest peak in Mauritius. The process was tiring and tough but the view took my breath away. I have never really been comfortable with heights but that trek changed my mind. Being able to see miles and miles of natural wonder, there's just nothing to describe that.

2) Catamaran cruise in Mauritius. Sailing into the open waters and seeing curious dolphins swimming beside the catamaran.. Man! Unforgettable

3) Diving for the very first time in Tioman. I felt invincible when I realised I could breathe underwater and that those ridiculously colourful fishes and corals were all withing touching distance. The experience is amazing and has made diving a life-long love affair for me.

4) Riding a 4-wheeled, all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in a Nature Reserve in Mauritius. The ride itself was exhilirating, moving up slopes, sloshing through black-mud rivers, darting between huge trees, veering off-course every now and then due to the bumpy dirt road. The most memorable part of it all was when we rode the ATV up a small plateau. Imagine this: A small, slow river flowing on the bottom of the plateau and on the other side, huge mountains and a rainbow could be seen in the distance. We all instinctively stopped our ATVs and stared in wonder for a good minute or so. Can never forget that.

5) Going to an island in Australia with my family. The island was somewhere near Melbourne, but I cannot remmeber the name. What I can remmeber, was seeing thousands and thousands of little penguins appearing from the sea and walking to the shore and into their caves at sunset. Mother Nature at her very best. There is no other show on Earth that can compare.
