ABOUT ME

While everyone else wanted to grow up to be a doctor, lawyer or an engineer, I wanted to be a cashier at the supermarket, a car park attendant or an employee at the photo express developing pictures, living as many lives as I possibly could vicariously through all the characters. People are defined by what they eat, what car they drive and their memories in print.

I've learnt to deal with all kinds of characters without being overtly arrogant or offensive. I enjoy working in teams but do equally well as an individual; although there are many things in this world I don't understand, but I try to derive reason and logic from what little I know. I have a keen eye for details and novelty.

I love life for its unpredictability. The current environment I work and live is rather difficult to explore and work without boundaries. In a society governed by rules and singular answers, routine takes its toil on me as the government tries to produce its people in bulk to follow the nation's blueprint for economic development.

I like being on the move and I live rather simply, without material wants. I'm perpetually curious and keen to experience the world outside this italian capsule; to skip instead of walk, to learn a new skill, to wake up the next day not knowing what to expect. I struggle everyday like everyone else, to put a little bit of myself in everything I do, without expending too much energy fighting bureaucracy. A bit of a rebel, I have learnt through the years how to battle intelligently against the establishment. I am a free spirit living in a cage.

At the end of the day, I am just a young proletariat with big dreams. I live on the edge, and swim in adversity. I take risks and accept things with an open mind. I am a product of globalisation. A western educated individual brought up with pedantic values. I am apolitical and naively believe that utopia can exist.
