About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find the stories that open my eyes and those of others, to prove reporting is an important profession and can make a difference, to challenge my views of, well, everything, and promote Canada as a bloody good wee (ie big) country. We just love everyone

ABOUT ME

I am firstly a Canadian, secondly a reporter - i know how to switch off from work, but I'm always looking for a good story; I can't help it. It's not just what I do but a great excuse to meet new people, travel to new places and expand my horizons. Seven times out of 10, it's the best job in the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Challenge myself and enjoy trying new things, celebrating every day - that's the goal at least.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Eight years ago I travelled across Canada by train, stopping at various cities along the way, and mostly staying with people I had only previously met through an online chat room connected to a national radio programme about technology. Best journey I ever made. Otherwise, not as much "couching" recently.
